Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology


The Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI) started as an Asian Pacific Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology in 1989 in Bali, Indonesia. At that time first president of Association was Prof Montri Tuchinda from Thailand and currently this post is hold by Mr Hee-Bom Moon. In 2000, Association changes its name and make Asia pacific from Asian pacific to clarify its geographical aperture and then updated its name in 2007 by including Asthma reflecting an importance of condition in Asia Pacific region. Now APAAACI is known as the Association of national level societies of Allergy and Clinical Immunology in Asia Pacific region. A number of medical practitioners had a significant contribution to the field of Allergy, Asthma or Clinical Immunology from a place where no such society of this field exists. The objective of Association is the exchange and advancement on Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology c in the Asia Pacific Region with the help of following ways: Creating awareness through education, training and research to improvement in practices and research in allergy, asthma and immune-mediated diseases with a special emphasis on the region related problems with the cooperation of its members, Sharing and exchanging the programs and latest techniques between member countries, Development of social and educational programs for public information and educated them regarding allergy, asthma and clinical Immunology and provide a forum for the colloquy of the eminent persons to exchange their experience for the deliberations on all aspects of these diseases. The Asia Pacific region is around 57% of the world population. Therefore, it is essential to come up with effective countermeasures for asthma, allergic diseases. Transmit knowledge and experience on a professional level in research and clinical studies from advanced countries to Asia Pacific Region. The Association organizes international congresses to encourage exchange between countries for training programs and research and it is managed by president with organizing committee members. The Upcoming congress of APAAACI is in joint collaboration with APAPARI in the month of October, 2016 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With a primary aim to promote communication between Asian Pacific scientist APAAACI has its own official open access, peer reviewed journal named, Asian Pacific Journal.

About Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology

There are numerous Immunology societies worldwide, both national and international. However, APAPARI stands out to be one of the most renowned societies in Asia pacific region.  Some of These societies are working on specific topics such as Hepatitis B and C, Fatty Immunology disease, Metabolic Immunology disease, Alpha A antitrypsin deficiency, Hemochromatosis, Wilson's Disease, Alcoholic Immunology disease, Auto immune Immunology disease, Primary biliary cirrhosis, Auto immune hepatitis, Cirrhosis of the Immunology, Immunology failure etc. Some of the Immunology Societies in different parts of the world are as follows:


American Immunology Societies : USA is considered to be the hub of research. There are several societies working on different field, out of which almost 55 USA Immunology Societies and associations are present.  Some of the major Associations are The American Association of Immunologists, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology,   American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association, International Cytokine and Interferon Society, Society for Mucosal Immunology etc. These societies and association are located in Wisconsin, Michigan, Maryland, New York etc.

European Immunology Societies : More than 70 Immunology Societies in Europe are contributing towards pathology research activities through their annual congress, journal and newsletters. Some of the major Associations are European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, The European Academy of Tumor Immunology, European Society for Reproductive Immunology, ESID - European Society for Immunodeficiencies, German Society for Immunology, and European Federation of Immunological Societies etc. Majority of these European Immunology Societies and Associations are located in Spain, Germany, France, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Italy.

Asia-Pacific Immunology Societies :  There are almost 40 Asian Immunology Societies working for the welfare of humankind. Some of the major Associations are: Allergy & Immunology Society of Sri Lanka, Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society (Singapore), Allergy and Immunology Society of Thailand, Chinese Society of Allergology, Korean Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Philippine Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology etc. These associations are situated mostly in Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Philippines, Korea and China. These Immunology societies were established in different time periods by eminent Immunologist and scientists and dedicated persons working in this field.

Middle East Immunology Societies : In Middle East almost 30 Immunology Associations are present. These societies are organizing annual and biannual Neurology Annual Conferences in Iran, Egypt, Israel, Russia, Zimbabwe and Ukraine. Some of the major Associations are Allergy Society of Kenya, Egyptian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Israel Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Russian Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, and Ukrainian Association of Allergologists and Clinical Immunologists etc.  Immunology Societies in Middle East are involved with Research, surgical and clinical practice as well.

 Immunology Societies Conferences : There are almost 120 Immunology Meetings and conferences which are scheduled by these societies for the year 2016 and 2017 in different parts of the globe. These International Immunology Conferences and Immunology Annual Meetings are intended to bring together all the recent researches, new innovations and findings in a global platform.
