Japanese Society of Allergology

An allergy and anaphylaxis research group is established in the year 1949, supported by the general research from the Ministry of Education. Researchers in the field gather from around the country to pursue wide-ranging basic and clinical research over a period of 3 years. During this time, a consensus emerges in favor of launching an allergology society. The International Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (World Allergy Organization) is formed in the year 1951 and its first congress was held in Zurich. Encouraged by this development, preparations for Japanese society of allergology (JSA) was established with a mission - To promote advances in the field of allergology and related academic disciplines. JSA has held annual meetings every year, gathering researchers in basic medicine and clinical medicine in a variety of specialties under one roof to present and discuss their research. The first Spring Meeting is held in the year 1989 with the aim of advancing clinical Allergology. The World Allergy Congress has been held twice in Japan, once in Tokyo in 1973 and the other in Kyoto 1991. The Japanese Society of Allergology comprises of researchers and physicians who share a participation in the study of allergies and clinical immunology. Clinical subareas include such allergies and immune-response disorders as bronchial asthma, collagen disease, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, allergic rhinitis, pollenosis, hives, atopic dermatitis, and immunodeficiency. However, there are many patients afflicted by other allergies as well.  JSA considers all such patients and disorders within its purview.

About Japanese Society of Allergology

The World Allergy Organization (WAO) is an international canopy organization whose members consist of 97 regional and national allergology and clinical immunology societies worldwide. In which Japanese Society of Allergology has its own recognition by providing direct educational outreach programs, symposia and lectureships to members.

American Allergology Societies : USA is considered to be the hub of research. There are several societies working on different field, out of which almost 45 USA Allergology Societies and associations are present.  These societies and association are located in Maryland, Illinois, Washington, California and Florida.

European Allergology Societies : More than 40 Allergology Societies in Europe are contributing towards allergology research activities through their annual congress, journal and newsletters. Majority of these European Pathology Societies and Associations are located in Belgium, Ireland, UK and Italy.

Asia-Pacific Allergology Societies :  There are almost 35 Asian Allergology Societies working on allergology and immune diseases. These associations are situated mostly in Japan, Singapore, India and China. These societies were established in different time periods by eminent pathologists and scientists working in this field.

Middle East Allergology Societies : In Middle East almost 30 allergology associations are present. These societies are organizing annual and biannual Allergology Annual Conferences in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Allergology Societies Conferences : There are almost 150 Allergology Meetings and conferences which are scheduled by these societies for the year 2016 and 2017 in different parts of the globe. These international Allergology Conferences and Allergology Annual Meetings are intended to bring together all the recent researches, new innovations and findings in a global platform.
